Father C. John Thompson-Quartey
Blessings in the name of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ!
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
I hope that you will find time to join us for worship
and fellowship whenever you are in the Point Pleasant
area.
St. Mary’s is an open, loving and affirming
community of believers who strive to live out the
mandate of the good news of Jesus Christ; loving God
and loving our neighbor. Central to our worship life
is our weekly encounter with the risen Christ, expressed
in the rich Anglo-Catholic tradition. Experiencing
the transformative power of God in Word and Sacrament,
we each hope to become agents of transformation in
the world. We are a diverse community of believers
with many different faith backgrounds and levels of
spirituality.
Seeking to celebrate the richness of the Episcopal
tradition, we use the Rite 1 form of the Holy Eucharist
at our 8 am service on Sundays, and Rite 2 at our
festive Holy Eucharist at 10 am on Sundays, and 7:15
am on Tuesdays. At St. Mary’s we believe that
we are fed and nourished by the sacraments, in order
that we may do the much needed work of ministry in
our community and the world.
It is on this note that I invite you to join us in
experiencing God’s love and abundant grace at
St. Mary’s. Come just as you are, whoever you
are, and wherever you are on your faith journey. We
hope you will find whatever you are looking for at
St. Mary’s. Opportunities for ministries abound,
you only have to speak to me or one of the many lay
leaders at St. Mary’s.
May God’s peace and blessing abide with you
today and always!
