Mary’s Table

Mary's Table provides food and fellowship to all who hunger or seek companionship in a loving environment of acceptance. Started by parishioners of Saint Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church in Point Pleasant Beach, and located there, Mary's Table opened her doors on November 1 of 2012. Volunteers from other churches, communities and businesses quickly became involved in this worthy mission. To date over 100,000 meals have been served.

The opening of Mary’s Table coincided with hurricane Sandy. While Mary’s Table provided meals for 3 weeks straight with help from the community, Saint Mary’s by the Sea became the FEMA site during this time. We have continued to provide meals every week since then.

During COVID (April 2020 through December 2021), meals from Mary’s Table doubled, as families struggled with food insecurity among other financial concerns. Mary’s Table recruited volunteers to deliver meals to avoid contact and ensure our guests had a meal each week. It was also during this time that Saint Gregory’s Pantry closed for 3 months and Mary’s Table created the Emergency Food Project, providing food for families with the outpouring of donations from this generous community!

Volunteers have consisted of teams of cooks, meal prep and delivery drivers. We are currently serving meals on a pick up only basis.

Mary's Table is supported by the generosity and kindness of donations from individuals and businesses as well as grants applied for and received.

All are welcome, every Thursday evening from 4 PM to 6 PM at Mary's Table.
